Welcome to the Stop Islamophobia Now! Webpage

Islamophobia is one of the greatest challenges that Americans have faced since the end of the civil rights movement.  In recent years, we have seen a drastically sharp increase in anti-Muslim rhetoric among the mainstream media.  Not only are media attacks against Islam and Muslims tolerated – they are encouraged.  Take for instance the most prominent Fox News contributors:

Juan Williams:  Hired by Fox after being fired by NPR for stating he was afraid of individuals wearing Muslim garb

Pamela Geller:  Head of Stop The Islamicization of America – which is now labeled as a Hate Group by the ACLU

Newt Gingrich:  Has compared Islam to Nazism on the  air, and is a well-known mainstream Republican voice against Islam.

Mike Huckabee:  Frequently refers to Islam as a political system, bent on world domination – a candidate for Republican nomination for President in 2012.

Brian Kilmeade:  Stated on air that “All terrorists are Muslims.”  Was not disciplined for his actions.

This is just an introductory list of contributors to one major media outlet in the U.S.  It is the job of not only all Muslims – but all Americans to combat the rise of Islamophobia and racism in the U.S.  On this site, we will highlight instances of media bias, along with links to pertinent articles on the topic of Islamophobia.  We will also provide original commentary and content as well.
